Bad Faith 2026: Christian Nationalism in Power is a documentary film about the political rise of Christian extremism wed to capitalist greed wed to political corruption. Their goal is achieving an American dictatorship. It's quite educational and alarming to any intelligent rational human. Donald Trump's base consists overwhelmingly of Christian evangelicals and fundamentalists who are the opposite of intelligent and rational.
I do not believe this upcoming midterm election is going to go as well as many naive liberals hope. I do not believe that the horribly corrupt and amoral Trump and his insane base are going to be magnanimous losers should their attempt to win by voter suppression fail. I do not believe any other institution or mass peaceful law abiding movement will prevent them from continuing down their path to dictatorial power. I believe they will resort to massive deadly force if need be to accomplish this.
One of the principal architects of their blueprint for governance, Project 2025, Kevin Roberts, states this plainly about 5 minutes before the end of the film, as quoted here:
"We are in the process of the second American Revolution, which will remain bloodless if the left allows it to be."
I'm afraid the American political landscape is going to get a lot worse before it gets better. It might take many years for it to get better, if it ever does:
